At what age should I schedule my child’s first dentist visit?
We begin accepting patients at three years of age. By this time, your child will likely have all of their baby teeth, and we can get a good assessment of how things are growing. The first visit is what we call a “happy” visit – your child will have a lot of fun! We simply want your little one to feel at ease in the chair. From there, we hope to continue to build a great rapport so that going to the dentist is a piece of cake for you and your child!
Are dental implants safe?
Dental implants are incredibly safe and effective for replacing missing teeth. Implants replace the roots of lost teeth. They can support dental crowns and bridges as well as dentures. Implants can last the rest of your life with proper care, and they can help you replace one, two, three, or all of your teeth. We used advanced technology for precise planning and placement.
What can cosmetic dentistry do for my smile?
At Accura Dental, we offer a variety of cosmetic services that can change almost any flaw in your smile. For people who want whiter teeth, we offer dental veneers and professional teeth whitening. Veneers can also be used to hide gaps between teeth. Invisalign is another great way to correct teeth and fix overbites, underbites, and other bite problems. You can make a small change or get a complete smile makeover.
Can a dentist perform oral surgery?
Yes, and it’s something our dentist, Dr. Chad Murdock, has done for countless patients throughout his career. Oral surgery is an important service we provide at our practice, so in most cases, you won’t need to see a specialist. Dr. Murdock regularly does teeth extractions, including wisdom teeth removal. He also can perform bone grafts and ridge augmentations.
How can I pay for my dental care?
We offer a variety of payment options to fit your budget. We accept dental insurance from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, Delta Dental of Colorado, GEHA, Humana, Medicaid, TRICARE, and UnitedHealthcare. You can also pay with cash or checks. CareCredit is a good option if you are looking for a way to finance more expensive treatments. Be sure to ask about our in-house Membership Club, too. Many patients find this an affordable way to cover routine preventive care.
We hope we’ve answered your Colorado Springs dental questions. Call us today at 719-249-2854 if you have other questions or if you need to make an appointment. We’ll be glad to help!
